The Darkness Cannot Take You.

The sky above was a blazing twilight, flashing with bolts of lightning and rays of light shining every color of the rainbow. The trees around were decorated with leaves that shone like emeralds, and their bark seemed gilded with gold. The leaves above and the shimmering grass below waved about in a gentle breeze—and standing center stage of the clearing was a beautiful white wolf with fur on it like fire, bearing the same cerulean eyes I had for a split moment seen from Tomo.

With one glance at those eyes, I realized it somehow was Tomo.

“The darkness cannot take you,” Tomo’s voice shook the atmosphere, booming with an authority I had never heard before. His expression, insofar as a wolf could have one, seemed severe… yet somehow also incredibly kind.
